Why This Program Works
This program works because I, personally, lived it. All the self-help books, blogs and articles I read when I was trying to heal my broken heart, collectively, guided me to many of the practices listed in the 12 Steps Program. Looking back, I wish I would have taken the time to study them the first time it was presented to me.

Now, that I have reached Step 12, I created Healthy Grieving Bootcamp to recommend the 12 Steps Program and share my experiences while rebuilding my life after heartbreak. This 12 article series is a great example of what it looks like to heal from loss. Enjoy and learn from my story!
But just don’t take my word for it. The 12 Steps Program was originally created to help people overcome addiction. It began with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), but today it’s also used for emotional healing, trauma, grief, and spiritual growth.
For each step, I have written an article that includes an explanation of the step and a personal anecdote of how I applied it to my healing process. My stories are real. Some parts are tear-jerkers, but necessary to paint a picture of my full experience. Let’s get started.
